Look Out for Ceramics – They Look Out for You!

Welcome back to the Proje’ blog! We spend a lot of time shouting about our products – we think they’re the best and we’re proud of the results they bring. But sometimes, we appreciate that you want to see these results for yourselves before you buy, so we’ve been posting some awesome pics of the effects of our ceramics range. Check out our Facebook page for some of our favorites and here are a few things to look out for:

Depth of Dark Colors

Check that two-tone Audi out! The Ceramic Spray Coating we put on the paintwork is there to protect, sure, but it also restores color to imperfect areas of your bodywork. Any fading or slight imperfections are all gone and restored to good as new, with just a few sprays. This is super important when you’re trying to restore depth to darker colors, as they can go dull real easy.

Slick Brightness

Next, scroll down to the orange Kia Stinger GTS. Now here, we’ve used our Ceramic Spray Coating and put on three layers to really enhance the amazing color of this car. Then, we’ve added a layer of SiO2 Quick Spray on top for that extra protection and last-minute shine. This is an example of how layering your ceramic products can not only add depth and shine, but also ensure an awesome amount of protection for your vehicle’s bodywork.

Gloss

Next, take a look at the Ford Focus ST. This bad boy has had a ceramic coat that looks natural and glossy. The key here is not to go too bright when designing these products, so that everything looks fake. A single layer can enhance the natural gloss of your paintwork without making the results garish. And with white being so hard to keep clean, ceramics are the perfect defence!

So, you want your car to look like these? The good news is that ceramics aren’t just for the pros anymore. Our products are usable by anyone. Just remember:

  1. Preparation

Use Prep Spray to help you to put on a pristine, uniform protective coat by removing all old polish, wax and sealant from the surface of your car. Often, these spent leftovers can clog up the pores of your surface, which reduces the effectiveness of a new ceramic coat. In addition, small amounts of old polish or sealant can hide imperfections in your paintwork, such as small scratches or swirls which need addressing in order to get the maximum amount of protection. Proje’ Prep Spray ensures that everything is removed, so you can start again from zero.

But before that, wash the surface of your car to remove any dirt – check out our Vital Car Wash Soap for that job.

  1. Slap on that coat!

You can read more about the science of ceramics on our product page, but here are the steps you need to know to use our spray:

Step 1: Thoroughly wash and dry the surface before use; for even better results, clay the surface first to remove any contaminants.

Step 2: Use a DA polisher to remove swirls, scratches and other imperfections where necessary.

Step 3: Prep the surface with our prep spray.

Step 4: Spray Ceramic Spray Coating directly on to a clean microfiber towel or one of our blue applicator pads. Apply evenly and ensure complete coverage of the area you are treating.

Step 5: While you can remove the Ceramic Spray Coating after as little as 25 seconds, we recommend that you leave it for 1 to 2 minutes. You can also repeat the process for added layers.

Step 6: Keep the surface dry and away from the elements where possible, for up to 2-3 hours after application. Don’t worry – you’re not in any danger; you’re just giving the coating every chance to do the best possible job. ( for best results. You can do your water test in as little as 20 minutes )

For best results, reapply a coat once a month as a top-up. It’s that simple!
