Welcome back to the Proje’ blog. This week, we’re going to focus on a product of ours that we’re really proud of for a number of reasons. It’s our Green Microfiber Wash Pad – we’re going to talk about its design and then give you a few tips to get the best possible use out of it.
What’s So Special?
Well, first off, the green microfiber wash pad is a premium, scratch-free, microfiber chenille wash mitt that is extremely gentle on paint, glass and plastic trim. That means you can use it right across your car without ever worrying about using it on the “wrong” surface.
It’s made from chenille, which comes from the French word for “caterpillar” and you’ll see that our shaggy microfiber strands are green and thick, just like caterpillars! The soft fibers are plaited together to make them extra thick and absorbent, so you can expect your mitt to hold an enormous amount of water. One wipe should be enough to cover large surfaces, making this perfect for the bodywork washing process while also ensuring that no scratches or swirls are left on your vehicle.
The green color also highlights dirt and grime, allowing you to really target tough areas and get your car looking beautiful all over. This is a big, shaggy mitt that you can get a real handful of it and wipe any flat or contoured surface. And this is one of the best features of the mitt – it’s exactly lime a glove. You slip it over your hand and this gives you extra control as well as feeling absolutely brilliant.

How Do I Use It?
This wash pad is perfect for use whenever you’re doing something that involves water, so think washing your car. When you use it with our Vital Car Wash Soap, it’s great for getting extra suds and getting to every bit of your vehicle, making it super clean. Use the two-bucket wash method (you can read more about that here) and make sure that you rub the mitt directly against the grit guard that’s at the bottom of your bucket to generate extra suds.
How Do I Take Care of It?
First off, even though it’s microfiber, keep it separate from your other microfiber towels. Remember, this is a specialist product so treat it well! Other than that, you can go ahead and machine wash your mitt, just don’t use any fabric softeners or additives, as they will cause the fibers to clog and matt. And for best results and the longest possible life, make sure you air dry your mitt instead of putting it through the dryer. If you are desperate to do so though, it will survive on the lowest possible heat setting, but no hotter!
