Welcome back to the Proje’ blog! This week, we’re going to show you one of our favorite products – it’s big, it’s soft, and it’s supremely time saving. It’s our Ultimate Drying Towel.

Why Is the Ultimate Drying Towel So Good for Detailing?

Sure, there are lots of microfiber towels for auto detailing out there – we think our own standard microfiber range are great! But this towel offers something a bit different in a few ways.

First off, it’s huge. At 25" by 36", it’s not like a cloth but more like a body towel. And that’s not by accident, because we want it to do what a towel does. We want it to wrap around surfaces and dry them in a massive hug! This is especially good for when you’re drying your tires after using Redline Wheel Cleaner, for example.

Secondly, this is one super absorbent towel. It can hold up to 7 times its own weight in water. That means you can easily dry your whole car with it and it’ll still be raring to go.  Fold it into many sides or use it wide open - the choice is yours. Either way, it's the perfect size for any car. Another benefit of folding it multiple times is that you can do standard bodywork drying duties, meaning that it will keep going for a really long time before getting saturated.

Next up, let’s talk about GSM. You will often see GSM (grams per square meter) ratings when you’re looking at towels and other fabric-based materials. Simply put, the higher the number, the thicker and heavier the towel. This is also something we have taken into account at Proje’. Rated at a premium 480 GSM, making it the softest towel that Proje' offers, what this means for you is that you will never introduce swirls or scratches to the paintwork when you use the towel correctly. And if you’ve ever tried to dry your paintwork with a regular bathroom towel, you’ll know what a bonus that is!

Taking Care of Your Microfiber

It goes without saying that our microfiber towels are intended to be used for detailing only. Our detailing products are all pH neutral – no detergents or harmful chemicals, so keep the towels away from your domestic soaps!

But our main tip is around storage: Remember that dust in the air will eventually collect on your microfiber, meaning that you’re then rubbing tiny contaminants on to your vehicle as you clean it. So, keep your towels in a clean, dust-free place like a plastic container. Fold them too, so that the minimum amount of microfiber comes into contact with the air. And finally, try to separate the towels out into different parts of the car detailing process, so that you don’t cross-contaminate next time you use them. With the Ultimate Drying Towel, this means keeping it on its own. Trust us, it’ll dramatically extend the life of your towel!
