Welcome back to the Proje’ blog! We’ve spent this month looking at a few of our more niche products – not all the detailing tasks involve covering large areas of visible vehicle, after all! But this week, we return to one of our headline products: our ceramic coating.
Ceramics is a competitive market in auto detailing, and rightly so: when you get the product and the application right, the results are simply stunning.
To make sure that ours is the best ceramic coating for vehicles out there, we’ve focused on three main aspects:
- We’ve made it super long lasting, meaning that you only need to apply our Ceramic Coating once a year!
- We’ve focused on depth of color, removing imperfections and keeping your paintwork supremely shiny.
- The hydrophobic elements within our ceramic coating mean that your surface is not only protected from rain, but that washing your vehicle takes half as long as it used to!
Of course, it’s that candy apple shine that’s really desirable with ceramics and the bottom line is this: our ceramic coating is a premium product designed for anyone to use, with results that make it look like your vehicle has come right out of a showroom. The aesthetics are awesome and of course, it’s super easy to use. Take a look below and follow these simple steps to take your vehicle’s bodywork to a new level.
How to Use Our Ceramic Coating
We say this for all our products, but it’s such a fundamental part of detailing: work on a cool, dry surface that is out of direct sunlight. Remember, this is a professional product so it does contain some powerful chemicals. We don’t want heat getting involved.
And, of course, wash, dry and prep your vehicle’s surface before getting stuck in with ceramics.
- Wash your car with our Vital Car Wash Soap
- Get out your Ultimate Drying Towel and give everything a good dry
- Grab your bottle of Prep Spray and follow the instructions for use (check them out on our product page).
Right, now you’re ready to work. Here we go!
While you can remove the Ceramic Spray Coating after as little as 25 seconds, we recommend that you leave it for 1 to 2 minutes. You can also repeat the process for added layers.
Keep the surface dry and away from the elements where possible, for up to 2-3 hours after application. Don’t worry – you’re not in any danger; you’re just giving the coating every chance to do the best possible job.
Then, when you’re happy, just buff the surface with a second microfiber towel and excess ceramic residue will be removed.
That’s it – oh, and for best results, reapply a coat once a month as a top-up. Magic!!
