Welcome back to the Proje’ blog!

When the weather’s good, it’s hard not to get that cheesy 80s slo-mo car wash music in your head, and head on outside to lather up and make a mess. Of course, the only mess is of yourself and your clothes – a car wash product like our Vital Car Wash Soap leaves your car exactly the opposite.

But here at Proje’, we’re all about the quick wins, the extras, and especially the 2-in-1s. But how can you wash your car and protect it at the same time? Surely a wash removes all the protection, right?

Wrong.

Step, up Ceramic Soap.

Wash and Protect – The Ultimate 2-in-1

Ceramic Car Wash Soap combines a hyper-foaming pH-neutral soap, so practically speaking, it’s the same as using a generic car wash soap product. But where Ceramic Soap adds something extra is with its high-gloss shielding properties of SiO2. Armed with this top-end product, you deliver a hydrophobic wash that produces that classic, jaw-dropping shine we’ve all seen in movies. Think Fast and Furious! By using Ceramic Soap, you’re recharging your ceramic coating, revealing the amazing gloss of your paintwork, while leaving behind SiO2 protection. Of course, while you’re doing this, you’re also washing your car – so really, our ceramic soap is the ultimate 2-in-1!

Separate the Dirt

As with our Vital Car Wash Soap, Ceramic Soap separates dirt from paintwork so that you can wipe it away easily, without any risk of scratching. The suds and bubbles are formed as a result of a special pH neutral chemical reaction with water, which is tough on dirt and grease but will not damage any wax or sealant. And of course, no spots, swirls, or streaks. Then, harnessing that all-important SiO2, you enhance the protection on your paintwork and get that hydrophobic beading – the “wet look.” Plus, you only need about 2oz of Ceramic Soap to do your whole vehicle, so it’s great value for money.

But what about technique? Let’s take a look at one of our specially put-together kits:

The Car Wash Kit for Ceramic Coating

In this kit, you get a bottle of Ceramic Soap, a Wash Bucket, a Grit Guard, and a Wash Mitt for the amazing price of $39.96. We’ve even impressed ourselves with that! And guess what? That’s right – it’s the old favorite, the two-bucket wash method! Let’s have a quick refresher.

The Two-Bucket Wash Method

The two-bucket wash method ensures that you avoid washing off your mitt and contaminated water, then rubbing dirt back on to your paintwork and risking scratches and subpar results. So, make sure that you have separate buckets for water and your Ceramic Soap solution, so that you can rinse your wash pad in the water before you put it back in the solution. Then, just follow the “How to Use” steps below.

How to Use: Two-Bucket Method

Step 1: Fill a bucket with 2oz of Ceramic Soap for every 4 gallons of water – this distribution ensures that the maximum amount of suds will be created. You’ll only need one bucket’s worth to do the whole car. Remember to put the Proje’ Bucket Grit Guard in your bucket before starting the cleaning process, so that all excess dirt is trapped at the bottom of the bucket and isn’t reintroduced in to the wash solution.

Step 2: Fill a separate bucket with only water and grit guard. Now, get a separate bucket with another grit guard and fill this just with water. It’s essential that you use the two-bucket wash method to get the cleanest possible result width no risk of scratching.

Step 3: Agitate the bucket with the soap using the Proje' Green Micro Fiber Wash Pad to create super suds. It’s the suds that will strip all the dirt away from your paintwork.

Step 4: Now it’s time to wash the car using the two-bucket wash method. Rinse the car with fresh water first, then use the wash pad to wash the car from top to bottom. Wash in horizontal lines from top to bottom for even cleaning. Our Chenille wash pad is super-soft and its micro fibers will remove dirt without damaging any paintwork, waxes or sealants, so while you don’t need to worry about rubbing too hard.

Step 5: Each time you need to add more soap to your wash pad, first rinse it in the water bucket, so that there is no contamination of the soap bucket.

Step 6: Once you have finished cleaning and rinsing, give your vehicle one more rinse and then use one of our 480gsm Big Giant Drying 25 x 36 Towels to thoroughly dry the paintwork. The high GSM of our drying towels protects against any swirl stains or scratches during the drying process.
