Water Spot Remover – Get Tough and Get Results

Water Spot Remover – Get Tough and Get Results

Welcome back to the Proje blog! It’s an exciting week this week, because we’d like to introduce you to our newest product – and it’s a real superstar!

At Proje, we love creating products that showcase your car in the best possible light. Whether it’s our 9H Ceramic Coating to make your car shine, or something as simple as New Car Scent with all its nostalgia, detailing is all about feeling great and getting great results.

But sometimes, we also need to do some problem solving in the form of retrospective action. Redline Wheel Cleaner is a great example of this – stripping away the problematic deposits that have embedded themselves on the underside of your vehicle. It’s a more functional, less glamorous aspect to detailing, but it’s super important and also contributes to the overall aesthetic of your vehicle.

Now, it’s not always the most obvious contaminants that are the most annoying, potentially damaging antagonists in the detailing process. In fact, sometimes, water can be the aggressor and cause just as many issues. We’re talking about water spot here, which are the mineral stains that are left behind after evaporation. This is typically an alkaline deposit, the likes of which you get in hard water areas.

Water spots can be annoying to remove at the end of a detailing process, as you would typically use an abrasive accessory to get rid of them, which can then result in parts of your vehicle needing re-sealing and buffing. You could also do it with a clay bar, but then you’d be adding another process in, which has a time and cost effect on your day.

But with our new Water Spot Remover, you don’t need to use any of these. Instead, we have created athe need for abrasion is taken away, meaning you can remove any water spots at the end of the process and not then need to revisit other detailing aspects, thus saving valuable time.

A Quick Look at the Science

Our Water Spot Remover is a non-toxic, solvent-free, environmentally-friendly blend with a slightly acidic pH that has been specially measured to neutralize the alkalinity in hard tap water. This is only a mild acid, so it isn’t going to hurt your paintwork, and you aren’t at risk of burning (though we do of course recommend that you wear gloves throughout all our processes).

Once the neutralization has taken place (which only takes a few seconds), the minerals that had bonded with your paintwork can be easily removed without any abrasive work or expensive repeating of processes. It’s a quick, easy, stress-free way of getting rid of those little imperfections before they become issues. It works on paint, glass and metal, and once it has been used and wiped away, the smooth feeling from your previous processes remains intact, allowing you to rest easy an admire how great your car looks.

How to Remove Water Spots from Your Paintwork

We pride ourselves on making all our products super easy to use so that anyone can detail to a high standard, but Water Spot Remover really is one of the simplest products we’ve ever created! Let’s take a look at the steps you need to follow.

  1. Make sure you’re working out of direct sunlight, and you’ve given the area a quick rinse and dry to ensure that there are no abrasive contaminants around.

  1. Spray the Water Spot Remover directly on the area you’re working on, or use a Blue Applicator Pad. You only need a couple of sprays to work on an area.

  1. Wait a few seconds, then give the area a quick wipe with a clean microfiber towel.

  1. Use one of our Quick Detailing products on the area – either Surge Quick Detail Spray, or if you’ve just applied a ceramic coating to the rest of your bodywork, our Ceramic Quick Detailer.

And that’s it – say goodbye to those pesky water spots forever!
