Welcome back to the Proje’ blog! Now, we all know how easy it is to fixate on those headline products that really make detailed cars stand out – ceramics, waxes, washes – it’s all about your bodywork. But we can sometimes neglect interiors and tires and at Proje’, we believe this is the wrong approach. Every aspect of the detailing process is as important as the others, because if it wasn’t… well, it wouldn’t be very detailed, would it?

We’ve got a range of superb products that clean your tires and add shine, but this week we want to carry on the theme of revitalizing (and if you tuned in two weeks ago, you’ll have read all about our fantastic Ceramic Soap). So, let’s take a look just around your tires, at your trim and our Alpha Trim Gel Premium Dressing.

Restore and Protect

Ok, that’s quite a mouthful for a product! But let’s break it down. Alpha comes in gel form, it’s a dressing for your trim, and it’s a super premium product because – well – all the products we create only use the top-quality pro ingredients.

But the headline is restore and protect. Alpha restores faded trim to make it look new again, and it protects faded trim after restoring its shine. It also preserves against any future fading so you extend the life of your trim to match your tires (if you’ve used our Decon and Redline products).

Under the Hood

Alpha Trim Gel fills the plastic of your trim with special polymers that soak in and protects it from harmful rays. It’s extremely easy to use and will not wash off even after multiple washes. The dressing is also long-lasting, so you won’t have to continuously apply, and its dual action means that it not only restores, but protects against future fading. So, just like our ceramic soap, your hard work will pay off for weeks and months to come.

But Why a Gel?

Not many of our products come in thick gel form, but we’ve chosen to make Alpha a gel so that it doesn’t drip while you’re applying it. Because a large part of your trim is downward-facing, drips can cause imperfections and imperfections can cause smudges and blotches. By using a gel instead, we’re avoiding that while upgrading the durability of the product through its water resistance. So, by using Alpha Trim Gel, you’ve created an effective, long-lasting protective seal that produces great results to match the blacks of your tires.

How to Use Alpha Trim Gel

This is one of our easiest products to use – and we’ve made them all as easy as possible, so this is no mean feat! Take a look at the three steps below.

  • Make sure that your trim is clean and dry before use. Apply Alpha Trim Gel using our Blue Applicator Pad - just a small circle of gel to start with. A little goes a long way!
  • Ensure even coverage of the gel, so that the end result will be an even color. To do this, apply the gel in small stages with three or four rubs per section before moving on. The result is immediate so you will have color to compare to as you move along your trim section.
  • If any excess residue remains on the surface of the trim, wipe it clean using our Black Mamba 16 x 16 Wheel and Trim Towel. We created this towel specifically for tires and trim; its dark coloring allows for multiple use without ever worrying about staining or unsightly marks that make your rim towels look old and dingy.

The whole process only takes 5-10 minutes and you’re left with trim to match your tires. And if all this matches your bodywork, your car is far closer to being a complete article. And let’s face it, we want awesome results with our detailing, or why would we do it in the first place?
