Freshly cut grass. Your morning coffee. The sea. These are some of mankind’s favorite smells. They bring back happy memories, calm us down when we feel stressed and cause intense emotional and physiological reactions within us. Smells are powerful things.
What about the smell of a new car? Can you remember the first time you sat in one straight out of the showroom when you were a kid? Or the first time you drove your new car away after you’d bought it, or had it delivered? These are memories that stick with us.
But of course they don’t last – cars get dirty real quick, both inside and out. Ok, when the doors are closed, the interior is protected from dust, dirt and grime from the natural world, but you, your family, your pets – they’ve all brought it inside from the outside. It’s transferred from footwear, clothes and just our general selves – sweat, food, mucus. There’s no point denying it: cars get dirty!
