Now, towels are important for drying your surfaces, both exterior and interior, but what many people overlook when they get into detailing is the need for different kinds of towel for different jobs. Detailing isn’t one size fits all – choosing the right accessory for the right situation will save you time, get better results, and leave you feeling much happier about your detailing. Let’s take a look at the full Proje’ range and the many uses for our towels.
Edgeless Tagless Microfiber Towels
Rated at a premium 480 GSM, making it the softest towel that Proje' offers. Ideal for wax and sealant residue removal, waterless washing and even traditional drying methods. The high GSM rating ensures that you will never introduce swirls or scratches to the paintwork when used correctly.
White Intensive 2-Sided Interior Towel
The White Intensive 2-Sided Interior Towel is specifically designed for Proje's Intensive Process. One side of the towel is constructed with terry weave material and the other side a soft microfiber, meaning that you can change up the amount of friction depending on the softness of your interior surface. It’s the perfect combination for light duty cleaning, wiping and protection application.
A Terry Weave towel is made using a strand weave that is designed to be absorbent. You’ll notice this towel has a good weight to it – it’ll have an even more pleasing weight when it’s soaked up all the excess liquids on the inside of your vehicle, leaving your interior completely dry. It’s more important to have the interior completely dry than the exterior, as plastics and leathers are more prone to water damage, and you don’t want any mold developing either. Our intensive towel is the most absorbent we’ve ever used, so you can use our intensive products with confidence. Go nuts!
One of the best things about this towel is its dual purpose. When you’ve absorbed the bulk of the liquid using the Terry Weave side, simply flip it over and you’ll find a soft microfiber side for a last wipe away of any remaining dust. This towel will not only leave your interior dry, but beautifully soft too. Remember – for your in-terior, think in-tensive!
Black Mamba Wheel & Trim Towel
The Black Mamba 16x16 Wheel and Trim Towel is the perfect towel to ensure gentle, non-scratching cleaning power while achieving incredible results. Rated at a high 380 GSM, making it the perfect towel for cleaning nitty-gritty rims, wheel wells and dressing trim. Its dark coloring allows for multiple use without ever worrying about staining or unsightly marks that make your rim towels look old and dingy. Essential to have in your auto detailing supplies line up.
Diamond Window Towel
When it comes to glass, it’s important to dry the surface as quickly as possible in order to avoid any swirls as the water comes off. This is a typical frustration of drivers and something we’ve spent a lot of time on perfecting. You’ll notice that our Diamond Window Towel has a slightly different texture to our other microfiber towels. This is because the weave of the microfibers is slightly different; the fibers trap the water and absorb it into the towel. Despite this being smaller than our other towels, it is as effective because the focus here is drying sections of glass extremely quickly rather than focusing on sheer surface area. To make the most of this great product pairing, simply spray Genesis Glass Cleaner directly on to the glass; two squirts per window should be enough to ensure complete coverage. Then, fold your brand-new Diamond Window Towel in half and wipe in in a back and forth direction across the glass, ensuring that you cover the surface all the way to the corners.
Ultimate Drying Towel
This is the ultimate drying towel. A huge 25" by 36", it can hold up to 7 times its weight in water. Rated at a premium 480 GSM, making it the softest towel that Proje' offers, the high GSM rating ensures that you will never introduce swirls or scratches to the paintwork when used correctly. Fold it into many sides or use it wide open - the choice is yours. Either way it's the perfect size for any car.
The brilliant thing about a towel this size is that it can cover so much space in one go, meaning that you’re wrapping up part of your car in a big hug! You can also fold it multiple times to do standard bodywork drying duties, meaning that it will keep going for a really long time before getting saturated. As with all our microfiber towels, you can use it on any part of your vehicle without the risk of scratches or swirls, but it’s best used after our Vital Car Wash Soap, because you can dry your entire vehicle in one go, with just one towel!
