Welcome back to the Proje’ blog!

There’s no getting round it in some parts of the US – it’s been cold recently and it’s not like previous years suggest there will be any let up for some time to come. When it’s real cold, that low temperature can get to work on your paintwork, exploiting inconsistencies and causing small instances of warping on your car. Of course, this invites a build-up of debris, which can cause chipping, rusting, and serious damage to your bodywork.

Then, there’s the salt. We use salt as our most common method of clearing roads of ice and snow, and it’s great – super effective. The problem is that it’s also a major enemy to car paint, eroding any weak parts away and exposing the body of your vehicle for serious corrosion damage.

Get Protected

The best defense against the harsh winter conditions is a ceramic coating. Now, we’re conditioned to think that the word “ceramic” means something breakable or fragile, but on cars, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Unlike claying, which can be a bit daunting if you’re trying it for the first time, applying a high-quality ceramic coat is as easy as 1, 2, 3. Check it out!

The Ceramic 1, 2, 3

Now, before you get going with your ceramic coating, you’ll want to make sure your car is freshly washed and dried – check out our Vital Car Wash Soap for a good place to start. Once your car is dried (check out our Ultimate Drying Towel), then, give your car a once-over with our Prep Spray. Prep Spray is the perfect way to prepare your paintwork for a high-quality ceramic coating. It’s safe to use on all forms of paintwork and other surfaces, evaporates quickly and helps to highlight minor defects and scratches to make your ceramic coating more effective afterwards. Simply spray directly on to the surface of your vehicle – be as liberal as you like; the formula is completely harmless to all surfaces. You’ll see the solution evaporate before your very eyes, but after a few seconds, you can wipe the surface of your paintwork with a clean microfiber towel to make sure that it’s completely dry before applying your ceramic coating.

Now you’re ready to get protected and keep out the cold and the salt debris with our Ceramic 1, 2, 3. Our Ceramic Coating is an effective, easy-to-use ceramic spray that provides incredible protection to your paintwork for a year per application. It’s extremely durable, with strong hydrophobic properties, and effective at filling in light scratches to ensure a more resistant, smoother surface that you can really show off. We’ve put in the hard work to make sure this is the best ceramic coating for paintwork out there.

1: Apply

Spray a bit of our Ceramic Coating onto a Blue Applicator Pad and apply evenly to your paintwork.

2: Cure

Wait 1-2 minutes for it to cure.

3: Buff

Take a clean microfiber towel and give the area a really good buffing.

That’s it – repeat the 1, 2, 3 for every section of your paintwork to get the shiniest car body you’ve ever had. But also, crucially, you’ll have a supreme layer of protection for your car, meaning that the cold weather and salt can’t cause any damage. And a good ceramic coating like ours will protect you for several months at a time, so you don’t need to overdo it!
