Welcome back to the Proje’ blog! Last time out, we took a look at a kit for your whole car, so now for a bit of contrast, we’re going to focus on a kit for one area only – your wheels and tires.
Now, we spent a lot of November looking at individual processes for the bottom of your vehicle, so now it’s time to put it all together in one convenient kit. Let’s start off by getting your wheel wells super clean. For this kind of job, the same soap you use to clean your car won’t cut it. You need a targeted cleaner that will really get down and dirty with all those contaminants that kick up from the road as you drive. Redline wheel cleaner is a powerful all-purpose cleaner that gets right down there, in to the pits of your wheel wells to break down all the toughest build-ups of dirt, brake dust and grease or contamination. These contaminants bond wit the metal as it break down at high temperatures – like when you use your brakes – and it needs a powerful formula to set things right. Just spray on, then watch for it to turn red before wiping everything away and marvelling at the results!
1 x Barrel Brush
To really get into the inner barrel and make redline work in the hardest-to-reach areas, reach for this Barrel Brush. It’s a big, plush brush with synthetic fibers and a long handle, making cleaning the hard to reach parts of your rim not only easy, but enjoyable again. Just slide it in there between the spokes of your rim to clean the barrels. It works on painted, chrome, aluminum, whatever you need.
On to the tires then! There are two really important factors with a tire dressing – stickiness and shine. Stickiness to avoid the dressing “slinging” up the side of your vehicle, and shine to last for weeks, so you don’t need to reapply it all the time!
Fusion Tire Dressing is a water-based dressing infused with a specific formula that will stick to your tire – so no slinging here. When you apply it to a clean tire, it will bring out an amazing shine for multiple weeks, with a dark, uniform color. It also conditions the tires, with its cream formula providing a smooth, even product application while avoiding messy overspray. We’ve thought of it all here – so now, we just need something to make sure you apply it correctly…
1 x Tire Dressing Short Handle Brush
…And here it is! The best controlled applicator brush for tire dressing, even for the most aggressive looking tires. Add a generous amount of Fusion Tire Dressing to the top of the bristles and work from the bottom of the tire to the top in a clockwise direction until you’ve got the shine you want. As with all our car detailing products, it doesn’t matter if you need to repeat the process. Everything we sell is safe for use and reuse, and won’t contaminate or damage your car. So, get going!
