Welcome back to the Proje’ blog! Hopefully, wherever you are, you’re starting to feel that things are warming up a bit and moods are beginning to thaw. Winter can feel like it’s been around a long time, but we’re starting to look ahead to Spring and beyond now – and we’re also starting to think about getting our vehicles ready for a few more sunny outings!

Get a Head Start

February to April can be key times for car detailers. The weather has cleared up a bit, making getting outside and working on your car a more attractive prospect. The ground has thawed and there’s less grit around, so the surfaces are more forgiving on your tires and paintwork and, of course, it’s not yet too warm. Action is better than reaction, so rather than working away on your leather, dashboard and paintwork in the heat of summer, strike while the iron is not so hot, and get protected before the sun really ramps it up! If you get good protection on the most sensitive areas of your car now, you’ll be cruising around with a smug expression on your face in June!

Sunscreen for your Leather!

First stop: the interior. If you’ve got leather, the best thing to do to protect it from the heat is to keep it moisturized. As it dries out, that’s how cracks happen, so a really good conditioning treatment in March will be a big step towards avoiding having to do damage repairs later on. Our Plush Leather Conditioner nourishes and moisturizes your leather, leaving it softer and less stressed after it has been bound and sealed by the leather cleaner. Not only that, but it helps restore the condition of your leather even further by gently moisturizing dry and worn parts of the leather that have been dried out by the sun. Think of it as sunscreen for your leather!

And While You’re at It…

Now you’ve got yourself involved inside the car, might as well do a thorough job, right? Our Interior Satin Finish Protectant helps you protect your plastic and vinyl surfaces from UV rays, which are extremely harmful to dashboards, vinyl and moldings, causing them to crack and fade over time. This can then lead to warping, further cracks and eventually the need for replacement. Interior Satin Finish Protectant seals and finishes these surfaces, allowing for long-lasting protection from harmful rays at the same time as an attractive, natural-looking finish. The key to this product is that it doesn’t over-shine either. Too much shine from a non-specialist product will attract extra UV damage, rather than protecting against it. You need the perfect balance between gloss and protection, which our product delivers.

Back Outside for a Serious Makeover

Time to give that bodywork some attention. And don’t worry – March isn’t too early. Our products are super long-lasting, so giving your car some love now will see you right through the summer. For this, check out our new ceramics range. And for this particular session, we’re going to ignore the SiO2 Quick Coatyou can use that for touch-up jobs later in the year. For a top-end resilient, shiny bodywork, we’ll use the two-stage process of Prep and Coat.

Prep Spray - Our Prep Spray helps you to put on a pristine, uniform protective coat by removing all old polish, wax and sealant from the surface of your car. Often, these spent leftovers can clog up the pores of your surface, which reduces the effectiveness of a new ceramic coat. In addition, small amounts of old polish or sealant can hide imperfections in your paintwork, such as small scratches or swirls which need addressing in order to get the maximum amount of protection. Proje’ Prep Spray ensures that everything is removed, so you can start again from zero.Having a completely stripped surface before applying a new ceramic coating is the best way to ensure long-lasting results. By using Prep Spray, you can then buff out any imperfections before adding a ceramic coat, meaning you’re left with perfection and a layer of protection that lasts up to a year.

Ceramic Spray Coating - Ceramic Spray Coating is a premium, real deal product at a consumer level that gives the surface of your vehicle an incredible candy apple shine in just 1-2 minutes. Its ultra-hydrophobic properties not only produce incredible water beading, but also makes your car super easy to clean, saving you time and money in the long run. Stronger and slicker than any other sealant on the auto detailing market today, Ceramic Spray Coating will protect your surfaces from oxidation, pollen, water spots and more. It’s a game changer in the consumer market, and it’s unbelievable easy to use.SiO2 forms an extremely effective layer of protection from the elements, and our Ceramic Spray Coating is the best SiO2 spray out there. UVA and UVB rays won’t penetrate it, pollen can’t touch it, and dirt and dust just fall away like water. One application will last for up to 12 months, guaranteeing you insane value for money!
